The beauty of an online, self-paced course is that you can start any time!
My time at the Ottawa Canine School affected the course of my life. It change how I interact with dogs thereafter, even now as I meet street dogs in Asia!! My favourite part of the program was learning to observe the details that make a difference when trying to train- timing and small non-verbal cues. The program opened up my eyes to a lot of theory in dog training. It made me much better with my dog and when helping teammates train their dogs. After I quit the military, I ended up doing private training in Fredericton for just under a year before coming back to Ottawa. Then, I worked at the Ottawa Canine School, doing private and group training. So, it gave me that option of a second career!!

I took the course in preparation of retiring from the Federal Government. I have always loved dogs and wanted to spend my retirement years around as many dogs as possible. I really enjoyed the course. It was not easy but it was so worth it. It helped me develop into a better dog owner and have a better relationship with my current dogs as well as future dogs. The program has changed my life by giving me more knowledge about dogs and their behaviours.
